Simplemed was built to simplify communication between doctors and patients. The first app I built for Simplemed was called MyDoctor.

MyDoctor is the patient portal that allows users to view current health news, find medical doctors, and view their medical information. Utilizing intuitive navigation, personalized user profiles, and secure data management, MyDoctor ensures that managing your health is as easy as a few taps on your device. The app leverages advanced technologies to provide real-time updates, secure access to medical records, and the ability to communicate directly with healthcare providers.

As designer and developer for MyDoctor, I oversaw the entire app development lifecycle, from the initial concept to the final launch. This was my first attempt at developing a full-scale application and offered significant real-world experience. Building this app provided an invaluable opportunity to hone my skills in both UI/UX design and full-stack development.

Creating MyDoctor began with research. I looked through competing health record apps and felt I could design a better experience. The core features I chose to focus on were the search for doctors and facilities, efficient appointment scheduling, and secure medical record management.

MyDoctor's frontend was built using SwiftUI and UIKit, native to the iOS platform. Firebase Firestore, a NoSQL database, was used for flexibility and real-time updates. On the backend, Typescript was used to build the cloud server, running on Google Cloud.

• MyDoctor offers a streamlined appointment booking system, allowing users to view available slots in real-time and schedule visits without the need for back-and-forth communication with doctor's offices.
• Users' ability to upload and view their medical information, including recent visits, medications, and medical insurance.
